Sen. Doug LarsenLarsen, is a husband, father, businessman and 26-year veteran of the North Dakota Army National Guard. Together, he and his wife Amy own and operate Apex Builders, a local homebuilding company. Senator Larsen said; The burden of government taxes and regulations must be kept as limited as possible so that families can prosper, and invest in their future. We must cut out the funding of special interests in state government, and instead focus on schools, roads and other core, constitutional obligations."

Rep. Todd PorterPorter, a paramedic/part-owner of Metro-Area Ambulance Service, serves as Chairman of the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and has represented Mandan in the House of Representatives since 1998. Representative Porter said; “I will continue my work on energy policy including addressing issues of improved rail and pipeline safety and the smart development of our abundant natural energy and water resources.”
